A New Standard

Freedom confers creative license and responsibility in equal measure. Because we effectively have a blank canvas with which to work, we must address not only our opportunity, but also our obligation.

It is easy to relish the challenge: to draw a new, working city from a tropical idyll. And yet to do so we are mindful both of successful precedents and of the legacy we will create. Our priorities are clear: a working environment that is transparent to its purpose, facilitating efficient transactions between all of its occupants, adaptive to the most rigorous demands of international finance; and yet one that recognises its context – a growing economy positioned in an dynamic market, which has much to protect as well as to empower.

To enshrine both ideals, we have engaged the architect Bernard Tschumi, whose understanding of working spaces equates with what motivates individuals within institutions, so promoting success through human-centred design. With him we are ready to reinvent the financial workplace, and to set a new standard for aspiration and emulation alike.
