New Enabling Law
By enacting its new Enabling Law, the Congress of the Dominican Republic will establish a new type of Financial Zone, allowing institutions to engage in effective commercial operations within internationally recognised standards of regulation and arbitration, at the same time as enjoying the advantages traditionally extended by free trade enclaves.

Drawing on the expertise of Deloitte and Patton Boggs we have conducted a comprehensive, comparative study of the legal foundations for financial centres around the world. Through this we have been able to develop a new legal framework, founded on the principles of the Enabling Law, that will be made operational by the Centre.
