We have taken full account of the opportunity to build a new kind of international financial centre from scratch, learning from but unencumbered by the traditions of the past. We have identified where accident and expediency have gone on to create process inefficiencies, and have built a model that accounts for a new climate in international finance.
In the wake of world events, regulation and compliance requirements have evolved to necessitate new levels of reporting and accountability, for which pre-existing frameworks do not necessarily provide the most effective solutions. Because we are working from a clean slate, we have been able to define an operational framework that is at once compliant to present requirements and adaptable to future needs.
